Super Seals

March was such a fun and exciting month! We learned all about what causes weather, weather patterns, weather symbols and different types of instruments used to teach us about the weather. We loved making our thermometers, rain gauges and barometers. We also defined what a meteorologist is and what they do. Along with our wild weather, we celebrated and embraced National music month. We learned about four composers: Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and Brahm. We also identified the four families that make up an orchestra and what instruments belong to each family. We loved our musical road and it taught us that different notes have different tempos. Our favorite thing was learning to play the song " Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" on the Swiss Bells. April's theme is New Beginnings and we are going to have so much fun discovering all sorts of baby animals and birds. We are going to learn about all types of creepy crawlers including caterpillars.

We would like to wish a Happy Birthday to Jack S on the 25th and Sydney on the 29th. We'd also like to officially welcome Maryrose to our room!

Well, we're the Super Seals and we're off to discover new beginnings!

Thanks,
Miss Debbie and Miss Phyllis

Marvelous Manatee

Greetings from the Manatees! We have just been rescued from all of that "Wild Weather" we experienced in March! We sure did get carried away with all of our weather stories and tornadoes! Did you see Miss Stacey "Blowing in the wind" while she hung our winter bird feeders on the trees outside? Well, lucky she made it and the "Weather Watchers" taught us all about different kinds of sunny or stormy weather! We're calming down a little now and looking forward to "new beginnings" in April! The weather won't be slowing us down this month but we sure hope those "creepy crawlers" and "flying friends" will be nice and friendly as we venture into their territory! We are looking forward to learning about "animal babies" and having a "teddy bear picnic", too! Do you believe we're on the letter "V" already? We're really moving along! Happy 5th Birthday Morgan!

Thank You,
Miss Stacey and Miss Debbie

Sparkling Seahorses

Happy Spring everyone! We are so happy that spring has arrived. What a windy month March was it certainly gave us the opportunity to be Meteorologist and observe various kinds of weather. Each day we watched the clouds to determine what the weather would be, we would even decide if it was a lion or lamb day. We have had some exciting science experiments, we learned about the water cycle and how rain forms, we even made rain and formed a cloud , and it was very awesome to create a tornado in a bottle. Wow! What fun we have had learning. A big Thank you to all the parents for helping your child make a pinwheel. The children had fun experimenting with them outside. We have finished the alphabet and have started reviewing. We are focusing on the vowels and sounding out letters to form words. The Seahorses are very excited about learning how to read. We have been working on tying skills and doing very well, this is certainly a challenging fine motor skill.

We want to wish a very Happy Birthday to Noelle, Brielle, Julia F., Gabriella and Mehmet! Enjoy Spring!

Thanks
Miss Elyssa and Miss Sue

Starfish

After being rain soaked, wind swept and sun dried throughout the month of March, we are looking forward to a month of "New Beginnings" during April. We will first discover a world of "Animal Babies", followed by a week of "Creepy Crawlers" and "Flying Friends". Our last week of April, we will celebrate the animals coming out of hibernation with a Teddy Bear Picnic. On the 2nd we will celebrate Earth Day! We will also be having a Spring Party. We want to wish Conner a happy 6th birthday on the 19th! As always, thank you for your continued support!
