A Joyous Holiday SeasonHappy Holidays to everyone! We are approaching that busy time of year when everyone is filled with excitement and holiday gleam as we try to get the rest of our holiday shopping accomplished and look forward to a healthy new year! Here at the Goddard School we are getting ready for festive themes and also our Music Around the World special visitor on December 3, 2002. We are having seniors from the Bey Lea Village Home celebrate with us during the presentation and it looks to be a promising event! Thank you to everyone who participated in the March of Dime Races to help premature babies. It was very successful and everyone had fun participating! Thank you to Miss Karyn who gave us the great idea of putting the competitive edge on it and congratulations to the party winner! We hope everyone has a great holiday season! Darling DolphinsThe Dolphins would like to welcome Colin, Marisa and Keara to our class! Happy Birthday to Natalia on December 11th! Wow! Your 1 already! All of our students are developing personalities so quickly! Brianna is taking more and more steps everyday and saying "Lisa" all the time! Jacqueline is walking around the room like the queen of the the jungle with the fluffy snake around her neck and Monique is starting to stand by herself and begin independent steps around the room! Natalia says "quack" and is running and pushing the walker everywhere as Cassidy is crawling all over and pulling herself up. Our Madison is talking more and more and she has gotten her bottom teeth. Justin has fun cruising in the car and sitting at the table with his friends. Winter is here so please send a warmer blanket in!
We would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday Season. |

Terrific TurtlesThe Turtles have had a spectacular month! We learned all about Autumn, Farm Animals and Things with Wheels. We are having lots of fun learning about Pilgrims and Native Americans for Thanksgiving. While we were learning about the farm Sarah was able to point to all the animals while Cole told us what each one was called and Matthew made the animals sounds. Samantha loves to read the books and Chloe can point to almost all of our colors. Dan and Summer make a great pair;he plays the musical instruments and she teaches her friends how to dance. Nicholas reminds us to go on the playground each day by yelling "outside"! Cassandra calls her friends by name now and is just amazing with her vocabulary! Zachary is running all around the room and loves to dance at circle time. Cheyenne is such a good little helper and gives all of her friends their sippy cups at snack!

Super SealsNovember has been an exciting month of Harvest! The Super Seals had so much fun learning about fall leaves, animals on the farm, Tractors and things with Wheels and Thanksgiving feast. We are proud to say that each child in the class has done an outstanding job cutting out circles all by the, themselves. They can also identify the letter t and things that begin with t. In December we will learn about Cultures Around the World. We will learn the music, taste the food and participate in many holiday celebrations. Parents, be sure to check out our new theme board to watch for the topics we study every month. Just a reminder: Please remember to make sure your child has extra warm clothes in his or her cubby and that everything is labeled with firs and last name.

Marvelous ManateeThe holiday is upon us and it is the most wonderful time of the year! We have been so busy learning our letters, numbers, practicing with scissors, patterning, rhyming, singing and signing, that we hardly noticed the time flying by! All of the children have been working very hard to learn all of these things-so keep up the great work! It is obvious that many of you have been doing alot of practicing at home because the children are improving with their handwriting skills. Some quick reminders: Class begins at 9:00 am. Please try to arrive early enough to allow your child time to hang up their coat and wash hands before starting the day. Also please label all items in your child's lunch box even items not going into the bin. We also need your extra sets of winter appropriate clothes.
Happy Holidays to all! |
