In Like a Lion...March is here...days are getting longer and we're all ready for Spring! Our Spring fund raiser has lots of new food items that we think everyone will enjoy. The sale items will be here in early April. Congratulations to Miss Irma who is the most recent employee of the month. Miss Irma is always ready to lend a hand where needed and is just a joy to work with. Congratulations and thanks for all you do! March will find us celebrating Dr. Seuss Day, St. Patrick's Day and Music Month. Our Miss Phyllis will be sharing her love of music with the children as she teaches them about various classical musicians. Have a great month!

Darling DolphinsIt looks like we are in for a month of learning about storms, snow, rain and wind. March is full of wild weather and our weekly themes are "Weather stories", "Four Seasons", "Storm Watchers", "Blowing In the Wind" and "Rainy Days", "Sunny Days". Our Darling Dolphins have been very busy...Aidan is now scooting on his bottom to get around the room. Aaron is just walking everywhere. Jack is starting to walk. Charlie enjoys the excersauser while Sean is loving the fish and shells on the mobile. Jonathan has a blast pushing the shopping cart and Joseph is missing giving Miss Toni big hugs! Marli has been standing on her own which makes her smile with delight. Emerson lights up when Dad pops in for surprise visits. Ava and Charlie are getting to know all their new friends and Michael is very excited to be "mobile" and explores everything! We would like to wish Kayla lots of luck and fun as she moves over to the Terrific Turtles and also a very big welcome to our new friend Ethan. We can hardly believe it's time to wish a happy first birthday to Jack H. and Jonathan P.! Parents, please remember to label all of your child's belongings with first and last names.
Thank You!

Terrific TurtlesFebruary was a wonderful month for all our turtles! They had a great time at our Valentine's Party thanks to all the goodies our parents sent in. Thank You!! We were especially glad when Josef joined our room. We welcome his wonderful smile. Hailey is talking up a storm now - a new word every day. You go girl! March brings us Kayla from the infant room who has been visiting us often these past weeks. Our friend Ryan is moving up to the Wonderful Whales and we wish him good luck and a happy 2nd birthday. We will be learning about weather this month as we read weather stories, explore the effects of wind and watch the days grow longer. We will be learning about oval shapes, the number seven and the color purple. We wish every one a Happy St. Patrick's day! Miss Katherine and Miss Debbie |

Wonderful WhalesFebruary was an exciting month learning about groundhogs, the dentist, the post office and the bank. February also found us saying good by to Miss Mackenzie and wishing her well. We are all sad to see her go but we welcome Miss Ellen and know we are very lucky to have her as our new assistant teacher. The Toddlers had fun during February's big snow storm and really enjoyed playing post office and the bank during dramatic play. The toddlers are doing very well with their verbal skills during Spanish and circle time. Our themes for this month are "Weather Stories", "Four Seasons", "Storm Watchers" and "Rainy Days/Sunny Days". The Toddlers will surely have fun learning all about the weather. We will also have fun celebrating Dr. Seuss Day. We want to wish a Happy 2nd Birthday to Gianna on the 8th and we also wish Colton lots of luck as he leaves us. We will miss him! Please continue to label everything you bring to school with your child's first and last name and check to be sure you have two complete changes of clothing as well as bibs and smocks for those messy times! Have a Wonderful St. Patrick's Day!

Fantastic FishSpring is on its way! We had so much fun in February. We loved playing with the snow inside. We also enjoyed when Miss Vicky from the dentist's office visited. We are patiently waiting now for Spring to arrive. Throughout the month of March, we will start looking for and examining the first signs of Spring. We will be learning about the weather and all the seasons. Hopefully we'll see some of an early Spring! During March we will be wishing a Happy Birthday to Gianna N. and Frank, Lucky them! We also look forward to celebrating Dr. Seuss Day and St. Patrick's day. On another note we would like to remind everyone to please make sure everything is labeled with your child's first and last names and to check that your child has two extra sets of clothing in their cubbies for those accidents and spills.
Thank You |

Super SealsFebruary was fantastic! We cruised all through the town and stopped to discover four destinations. The first was the park. Here we learned all about t groundhogs and shadows. We learned the legend of the Groundhog seeing his shadow. Next we learned all about going to the dentist. Miss Vicki, a dental hygienist cane and taught us all about healthy habits for bright smiles! Our friend Joey V. told us about his trip to the dentist and shared an x-ray of his teeth with us. Our next stop was the post office. We had so much fun pretending to be mail carriers and we had a great time delivering our Valentines to our special mailboxes. Our fourth and final stop was at the bank. Here we learned about different coins and bills, and that money does not grow on trees! We also learned about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. They have their pictures on money! Our theme for the month of March is Wild Weather. We will be learning about the four seasons, rainy and sunny days, storm watchers and meteorologists. We will celebrate Dr. Seuss Day on March 2nd and we will read the story Green Eggs and Ham, one of my favorites! Please remember to wear green on St.Patrick's Day so we can all feel like little leprechauns. We also need to give a big Happy Birthday to Haily on the 13th and Miss Phyllis on the 15th. We are the Super Seals and we're off to ride the wild weather over the rainbow and maybe we'll even discover the pot of gold!

Marvelous ManateeGreetings from the Manatees! We have been keeping very busy during these cold winter months! We had an exciting month in February "visiting" many different places in town. We learned about the concept of opposites while reading the book Over-Under, a story about a day at the park. Next we were delighted by the special visit from Miss Vicki, the dental hygienist. She brought the biggest toothbrush we've ever seen! We had great fun delivering our valentines to the post office(in the exploration area). We even made our own ink! Finally on our " trip to the bank" we learned about money. We even bought our own school supplies with our "bunny money", just like the story we read! Moving into March we are leading into weather and seasonal themes. We'll be ready for March winds ahead and will be looking forward to Spring, which we hope is right around the corner! Thank you for all your contributions that helped to make our Valentine's Day so lovely! We also want to wish Alexa a Happy Birthday and remind everyone to wear their green on St.Patrick's Day! Think Spring!!

Sparkling SeahorsesThe month of February has come and gone so quickly. We had lots of fun on our "drive through town". We enjoyed a visit from the dentist's office and we learned how to take care of our teeth as well as what foods are good and bad for us. We learned about our famous Presidents, as we examined money during our "trip to the bank". It was also fun being a postal carrier and mailing letters to our family and friends. Our Valentine's party was terrific, the children enjoyed sharing their valentines with their classmates. A big thank you to all the parents who provided our class with special treats. We are coming to the end of the alphabet, we only have Y and Z left! We will be focusing more on the vowels and reviewing all the letters. The children are doing great with their letter recognition and sounds. They always enjoy sharing their homework pictures with the class. Math skills and number recognition re developing nicely. We welcome the month of March with our theme Wild Weather. We will also celebrate St.Patrick's day and Dr. Seuss! We want to wish a Happy Birthday to Tiaan, MaryJo, Craig, Patrick, Andrew and Emma. Wow, March is a big birthday month in our room!! Enjoy the month and don't forget to wear green on St. Patrick's Day!

StarfishFebruary was an exciting month with many interesting stops along our drive through town. We also enjoyed our visit from commerce Bank. Thank you to all our parents who signed up to volunteer items for our Valentines Day party. It was a great success! March promises to be just as fun filled as we don our waterproof coats and galoshes to explore our theme "Wild Weather". First, we will do some research about weather by reading weather stories. Let's not forget our favorite author's birthday on March 2nd, Dr. Seuss! Next, we will learn about our four seasons and classify what kind of weather is typical for each season. The nest week, we will pretend to be meteorologists and watch the signs of a storm coming. Hopefully, we won't get blown away during our week of windy weather experiments! Our theme will end with a look at rainy days and sunny days. Hopefully the rain will stay away and Spring will find us! Have a great month and a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
