COME ONE COME ALL...
This Saturday, May 5th from 11a.m. - 12p.m. as we celebrate the Grand Opening of the new gym with a musical presentation by Presley and Melody. We will be conducting an Open House from 10a.m. until 1p.m. so bring your friends and family and watch the show.
On another note, I would like to thank all the families for so generously supporting our recent Hop-A-Thon for MDA. What a wonderful way to teach our children to care for others during The Week of the Young Child. During our "Kids helping Kids" celebration, all of the children had lots of fun hopping, collecting fun foods for the local food bank, laughing with our special visitors and wrapping up the week with a school wide ice cream party!
As Always, have a wonderful and safe month. Enjoy your Mother's Day celebrations with your children and your Memorial Day picnics as well!

Darling DolphinsWow, our infants have been very busy this month! Ashley is having a wonderful time transitioning into the Terrific Turtles classroom. Matthew is now walking and doing his best to keep up with his friend Robert! Alexis and Mason are enjoying the wonderful attention their older playmates are giving them. Cooper, Tripp and Victoria are crawling and doing their best to pull themselves up to stand. Ashlee, Ava and Madison are standing up on their own and enjoying being able to reach up on the shelves to get their toys, they also like admiring themselves in the mirror while holding on to the wooden bar. We are looking for the sunshine to stay with us, so we can get outside for some fresh air. Please remember to bring in sun screen and a light coat and a hat for the warmer days ahead. We would like to welcome Ava D. to our class. To all our moms, we wish you a Happy Mother's Day!
Thank You!

Super SealsWhat an exciting time we had throughout April, discovering the New Beginnings of insects, birds, butterflies, bears and baby animals. The children learned a vast amount of information through hands on activities and interactive play. They had a great time creating baby chicks using their cute little foot prints and they loved listening to the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Afterwards they stamped their very own caterpillar using apples and oranges! The month ended with our Teddy Bear picnic. It was so cute to see the children taking care of their bears. Here comes the month of May and we hope some beautiful weather comes with it! Please check our calendar on the Parent Board for the monthly themes. Some things to remember Cinco de Mayo and our Open House on May 5th, Mother's Day on May 13th. Mom's don't forget to joins us! Memorial Day on May 28th. Happy Birthday to Tyler on the 10th, Stephen on the 15th and Miss Jeanette in the 19th! Miss Phyllis and Miss Jeanette |

Lovely LobstersApril has come and gone and we had so much fun with our theme of New Beginnings. The children enjoyed exploring the world of animals, insects and Teddy Bears. We all enjoyed our Spring Fling party and the egg hunt. The children did a great job making our own dye and coloring eggs, they were all so proud of themselves. On top of all the wonderful things mentioned, we even took time to give back to others less fortunate than us and raised money through our Hop-A-Thon! Thank you to everyone who participated in all of our April events. As we look forward to May the children will take a "Look at What's Growing", as we explore the Jungle, the Garden and the Forest. Also just a few reminders to make sure that your child has a change of clothing that is weather appropriate and all your child's belongings are labeled with first and last names. We hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day as well as a Happy Mother's Day! Miss Debra |

Sparkling SeahorsesApril brought us lots of showers, but May has arrived and it will bring us many beautiful flowers. The Seahorses had so much fun learning about various animals and their babies. It was very exciting to learn about all the creepy crawlers and flying friends that live in our world all around us. Our Teddy bear picnic was awesome! We had a terrific time on our trip to Twisters Gym, during the Week of the Young Child, we saw a fabulous puppet show and enjoyed all of our fun activities throughout the week. We have finished working on our vowels and their sounds, the Seahorses have been doing a spectacular job sounding out the letters to form words. They are really having fun reading and they are very proud of themselves. We will continue to enforce the letters and their sounds. We are focusing on addition and subtraction and the concept of time in Math. Our fine motor skills are being challenged as we work on our tying skills. We want to thank you for your help to enforce and encourage basic skills and develop a love for learning. A big thank you to all the parents who provided special treats for our "Spring Fling Party". They were delicious and we had a blast! May is upon us and "Look What's Growing" is our theme. We want to wish a very Happy Birthday to Marisa, Amanda, Scott, Justin, Anthony B., Christopher G. StarfishOh, what a great month of April we had! We were very busy with the Hop-A-Thon and our trip to Twisters. Our new theme for May is "Look What's Growing". Your children are becoming wonderful young students right before our eyes! Our theme this month couldn't be more appropriate! We will be talking about the Jungle, Vegetable Garden, Flowers, Forest and Dinosaur babies. We will continue counting up to 90, focusing on the diamond shape and the color white! We will of course be preparing many surprises for Mother's Day so get ready moms. Please, be sure to place two changes of weather appropriate clothing in your child's cubby. Also, as it will be getting warmer please send in water bottles for your child daily. Read and Tell is going very well, please keep encouraging your child to read, it really works! We will be starting a review of the year to review the skills that we have learned and get ready for First Grade! Happy Birthday to Cole on the 25th! Miss Jami |
