Goddard Times - November 2003

At Goddard We always Give Thanks!

November has joined us once again and it is time to remember all that we are thankful for! The children are thankful for many things this season such as the warm weather that has brought us through till the end of October-this means more playground time! I'm sure their also thankful for the plenty of knowledge they have received from their wonderful teachers this year! All of the classes are working hard on the monthly themes and are doing wonderfully on Spanish and sign language concepts!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Fall fundraiser! it was very successful and we will now be able to give each classroom a designated amount of money to purchase more great items for the children to utilize with lesson planned activities!

Things to Remember:
  • Fundraiser shipment shall be arriving soon!
  • School will be closed Nov. 27th and 28th

Darling Dolphins

The Dolphins would like to welcome, Paul, Devan, Perrin, Richard and Brielle to our class. We look forward to watching them learn and grow. Kenzie is pulling herself up and saying "no"! Paul loves riding "lucky" the horse. Candace is walking around with the walker. Perrin enjoys playing with the musical toys. Mason is sitting himself up and giving everyone a huge smile and wave. Devan enjoys playing with the beach ball and exploring the room. Trevor loves to stand up. He is also repeating lots of sounds. Alexandra is our snuggle bunny, and she loves looking in the mirror.

We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
Miss Karen, Miss Cindy & Miss Lisa

Terrific Turtles

The Turtles had a terrific month! We learned all about community helpers and we even got to meet real firemen and a dentist! Halloween was so much fun. We saw so many cool costumes and had fun showing everyone how cute we are in the halloween parade. We would like to thank our mommies and daddies for all the yummy stuff they brought for our party! Autumn is finally here and the weather is getting cooler so please be sure that there are warm weathered clothes in our cubbies. November is going to be so much fun! We will watch all of the leaves turn beautiful colors and decorate the ground. We will also learn about farm animals, and things with wheels. At the end of the month we will talk about all of the things we are thankful for.

Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

Sparkling Seahorses

Harvest Time is here along with the wonderful fall scenery. This month we will be learning about Trees, Farm Animals, Things with Wheels and of course Thanksgiving. We will be concentrating on the circle shape, the color yellow, and the numbers 21-30. As you have noticed, we have been trying to recite our addresses and phone numbers. Please practice this at home, it really helps! Number and letter recognition could also benefit from practice at home. I would like to welcome the new Seahorse assistant Miss Laura! We are very happy to have her. Happy birthday this month to Rebecca on the 11th! One more thing- I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but please check your child's cubby to make sure there are 2 changes of season appropriate clothing is case of emergency. It is very upsetting for the children when they need those spare clothes and they are not there!

Have a happy Thanksgiving
