Fall is Here
I would like to thank all of our families for generously donating to the March of Dimes during our October "pumpkin picking". In the sprit of generosity and the upcoming Holiday Season, we will be working with the local Salvation Army and supporting their Angel Tree campaign. During November the angel tree will be in the lobby for you to choose a name and purchase a gift for the appropriate gender and age specified on the angel. |

Darling DolphinsWow, October was a lot of fun! We had fun seeing all the costumes and how cute everyone looked on Halloween. We are looking forward to the fun we will be having in November. We'll be working on lots of leaf projects for the Harvest Celebration. Our themes are "Falling Leaves: All About Trees", "Autumn on the Farm", "Thanksgiving Feast" and "Tractors, Train and Things with Wheels". Ava M. and Charlie are best buddies, playing ball together or giving each other hugs. Rocco is crawling everywhere, he'll be walking soon. Gabby is pulling herself up to stand, she wants to run. Ashlee S. has fun in the exersaucer. Ava R. enjoys playing by the kick and play, maybe she'll be a good soccer player. Madison is adjusting well to the classroom and giving us great big smiles. Robert is having fun rolling on the floor. Matthew has fun tapping on the piano. Ashley W. is doing a great job sitting up longer and longer each day. Way to go babies! Parents you have been doing a great job with labeling your children's items, thank you so much. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank You!

Wonderful WhalesOctober was a fun month of learning about our community helpers and having our Halloween parade and party! The Toddlers enjoyed looking at the fire truck and loved watching the construction going on in the new section of our school. The Toddlers are talking so much and learning something new everyday. Our themes for this month are "Falling Leaves: All About Trees", "Autumn on the Farm", "Thanksgiving Feast" and "Things on Wheels". The Toddlers can't wait to learn about these. For the Health and Safety of our class please make sure all pacifiers, spoons, forks, bibs, blankets, cups and blankets are labeled with your child's first and last name. Please make sure that your child has extra clothes and that are weather appropriate. Happy 2nd Birthday to Abby Y. on the 20th. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Fantastic FishOctober was a busy month for the Get Set class. Our Theme for the month was Community Helpers and during the month we learned about safety, occupations, building and keeping healthy. We learned that "Red means Stop" and "Green means Go". We talked about fire safety and learned how to "Stop, Drop and Roll" if their was a fire. We had a fire drill for practice and we were able to see a real fire engine up close when the Pleasant Plains fire chief came to our school. We even got to sit inside and ring the bell! We watched the workmen as they continued building our new classrooms. We finished the month with a special Halloween celebration. We had fun wearing our costumes and marching in the school parade. Our theme for November will be harvest time and we will be learning about trees, autumn on the farm, Thanksgiving, and tractor, trains and things with wheels. Special days in November include Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and Birthdays for Jackson, McKenzie and Michael. We hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Super SealsWhat fun we had in October, the theme for the month was Community Helpers and throughout the month we learned safety tips within our classroom, while driving in a car and also within our own homes. Discussing the importance of our classroom discussions. We were fortunate to have a Pleasant Plains fire fighter visit us and teach us some vital fire safety tips. The children really enjoyed role-playing various community helpers, delivering mail and putting out pretend fires. As the leaves change so will the appearance of our classroom as we move into November. The theme for the month will be "Harvest Celebration" and we will be discussing, Trees, Autumn on the Farm, Thanksgiving Feast and Tractors Trains and Things with Wheels. We will have many fun activities and projects that will reflect our weekly themes. The children will have a lot of fun gathering together for a Thanksgiving celebration also. Election Day is November 7th and Thanksgiving is November 23rd. It is going to be an exciting month! Miss Phyllis and Miss Jeanette |

Marvelous Manatee
Well the first few months of school have gone by in the blink of an eye and the holidays are right around the corner! We sure did have a spectacular Halloween and the children had a blast dressing up for our parade! We were so excited to go on our class trip to "The Battleview Orchards", it was a great time. It was a treat welcome Autumn we learned about Community Helpers and all they do help us everyday! Our visit from the fire chief proved to be very exciting when he climbed all the way up his ladder and let us ring the bell! We are looking forward to a Harvest Celebration, in November and are dedicating the whole month to starting out each morning with thinking of something or someone we are thankful for! We will keep a journal for you and give it to you when we are finished! We are very busy with our letters, sounds and proper preschool manners. We are sure to blossom into "Big Preschoolers" by Spring (you'll see...)! We've already completed a number of projects to help us learn our home addresses and we put them in a song to help us learn them. Please remember that reinforcement at home is the best way to encourage the learning process: Miss Stacey and Miss Debbie |

Sparkling SeahorsesNovember has arrived so quickly! The Seahorses are excited about falling leaves, turkeys, Pilgrims, Indians and all the wonderful things that November brings. Our first couple of months have been an exciting time for parents, teachers and children. It has been a time of change and new beginnings. The children are very settled and comfortable with our classroom routine. We have had many fun and learning experiences relating to our theme "Community Helpers". The children are doing a fabulous job recognizing letters and learning their sounds. We have worked with the letters A through I. The children are very excited to discuss their homework pictures each week and share them with their classmates. Printing their first names on lined paper has been very challenging and they are doing a great job! We had a terrific trip to the Pumpkin Farm and our Halloween party and our parade was "Spooktacular". A big thank you to all the parents who provided lunch and treats for our party. "Harvest Celebration" is our theme for November and we are looking forward to many new fun and learning experiences in the month to come. Look who turns 5 in November,Happy Birthday to Nolan and Jonathan! Important reminders: Please label everything that belongs to your child with first and last names, this also includes all of their lunch items. If your child keeps water in their cubby it must also be labeled with your child's first and last name and a fresh utensils including napkins are packed in your child's lunch.
